About Baan Jing Jai Orphanage
Proceeds from The Race for Sincere Heats benefit The Thai Your Shoes Foundation, which serves Baan Jing Jai Orphanage (English translation: House of Sincere Hearts) in Pattaya, Thailand. The Thai Your Shoes Foundation was founded in 2008 to aid Baan Jing Jai-- the current home to over 80 orphans in Pattaya. As with many organizations in developing countries, Baan Jing Jai struggles to support the physical needs of all of its children so there is little room to indulge the kids with toys or gifts which may seem common to children of more prosperous nations. Thai Your Shoes began as a shoe drive at William Fremd High School in Palatine, Illinois. It developed into a campaign that fights for more than footwear, but clothing, toys, school supplies, and money to help alleviate some of the financial burdens at the orphanage and give a little hope to over 80 of the world's most deserving children. RFSH Goals for 2012
This year we are adding on a second Race for Sincere Hearts that will take place in Nashville, TN on March 17th, 2012. Our hope is that we can raise enough funds from these two races to fund the construction of a new music room for the children--a cost of $8667. We are confident that with the continued support of our sponsors, racers, and donors we will be able to achieve this goal!
